Power cycle means to completely use up battery charge and then completely charge it.

When a battery is not used for a long time it may go dead. Hence you need to maintain it well to avoid it from going dead. This is one of the major issues of these batteries. The battery must be maintained by taking from storage and charging and discharging it occasionally. These batteries might be used at times in dusty, dry and dirty places while at work. To ensure that they are kept clean and not damaged by the dirt and dust you can wipe them with alcohol and cotton swabs. This will keep it clean as required and ensure longer life.
